This month’s Cornwall Social Media Café is going to be an altogether more relaxed affair with the emphasis on us all getting to know each other a little better.
After three successful events in Truro, we’re now taking the Social Media Café out on the road with next week’s event taking place in the Greenbank Hotel, Falmouth on Thursday (16th July).
Although there will be no formal speaker or ‘unconference’ style discussion we hope to get everyone mingling and talking a little more. There are some really interesting members in the group and it would be good to encourage the conversations started at events to continue online.
We will be working with you on the night to ensure that everyone gets to meet everybody else. The idea being to find out more about the interests of your fellow CSMC member, their social media profiles (Twitter IDs, Facebook usernames etc), their blogs or websites and anything else you might like to share with each other.
The evening will get underway from 6.30pm. After some informal chat we’ll look to hook you up with other members from 7.15pm. Thanks to this month’s sponsor, Niddocks Internet Martketing for offering to support the evening, it means we can provide everyone with a light snack shortly after 8pm.
Please book in for the event using the usual EventBrite booking system which can be found here. Also, why not encourage your contacts to join us by sharing your booking on Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn? – the more the merrier!
We look forward to seeing everyone next week.

Hi!
I found you on Twitter but needed more than 140 characters,I couldn’t find a contact us option on the blog, so hope you don’t mind me leaving blog comment.
I’m the editor of the Europe a la Carte Blog, I’m visiting Newquay 24-26 July on my Summer 09 UK Blogging Tour. I wonder if you can help me, I’m looking for tips from locals on what to do and see in Newquay and also for volunteer guides to show me around. I’m especially looking for things beyond the usual tourist attractions.
Regards Karen
Hi Karen,
Thanks for getting in touch. I am sure we will be able to help your tour in one way or another. I will talk with my joint organiser, Laura McKay (@laura_mckay2009) about it tomorrow and see if she can be of assistance. She would be a good contact for Newquay area.
I will also send a message over our Twitter account and ask at next weeks event to see if anyone would like to help. Unfortunately, the week of your visit coincides with my annual leave and so I can’t personally guide on this occassion.
If you would like to talk with me over the phone / email you can contact me on 07501 259000 or email aren@tonickmedia.com.
Kind regards,
Aren
